| This is a collection of pictures - taken in 2003 and 2004 - of the Quarry as it is today. As there is now a powerstation inside the mountain (!) the area is fenced off and not without danger. Please realise it is illegal to enter the site. On the higher levels many of the buildings are still standing, but slowly collapsing. On Australia level you can find the sawing tables.
Both my visits were very inspirational, and I took loads of pictures of the buildings and the scenery. In this album you will find a selection. ------------------------------------------ Dit een een collectie foto's van de groeve zoals-ie er nu bij ligt, genomen in 2003 en 2004. Omdat er in de berg nu een elektriciteitscentrale is, is het gebied afgeschermd en zowiezo niet ongevaarlijk. Realiseert u zich alstublieft dat het illegaal is het terrein te betreden. Op de hogere gallerijen staan veel gebouwen nog overeind, maar voor hoelang nog? Op niveau Australia staat een grote loods met een verzameling zaagtafels. Beide bezoeken waren zeer inspirerend, en van de vele foto's die ik van omgeving en gebouwen nam, plaats ik hier een selectie. |
